Product DescriptionLaminated GlassLaminated Glass is a high-performance safety glass constructed by bonding two or more layers of glass with one or more tough, transparent interlayers, typically made of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) or ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA). The assembly is subjected to heat and pressure in an autoclave, which permanently fuses the glass and interlayer into a single, cohesive unit. Unlike standard glass, which shatters into sharp, dangerous shards upon impact, Laminated Glass remains intact as the interlayer holds broken glass fragments in place. This unique construction provides exceptional safety, security, sound insulation, and ultraviolet (UV) protection. Laminated Glass is available in a wide range of thicknesses, colors, and interlayer types to suit diverse applications, from automotive windshields to architectural facades and hurricane-resistant glazing.Features:~Safety and Impact Resistance: Upon breakage, glass fragments adhere to the interlayer, preventing dangerous shards from scattering. This significantly reduces the risk of injury from broken glass.~Forced Entry Protection: The strong interlayer makes Laminated Glass extremely difficult to penetrate, providing a substantial barrier against burglars and intruders. Multiple interlayers can be used for higher security levels (e.g., bullet-resistant or blast-resistant glazing).
~UV Protection: The PVB or EVA interlayer blocks up to 99% or more of harmful ultraviolet radiation, helping to protect interior furnishings, artwork, flooring, and merchandise from fading and sun damage.
